Operation Screenshot (Films of the Eighties) Jim McBride's Breathless (1983)

I have been in love with Jim McBride's Breathless since I first saw it as a teenager in the late eighties, about five years after its theatrical release. A clear influence on Quentin Tarantino, and nineties cinema in general, Breathless remains one of my favorite films and I have my fingers crossed for a special edition DVD and Blu-ray release eventually. My original article on the film can be found here for those interested. A slightly reworked version I wrote for The Amplifier can be read here.
