I woke up to the
sad news this morning that lovely French New Wave icon
Marie-France Pisier has passed away at the age of 66. Pisier had a remarkable career that saw her working with everyone from Robbe-Grillet to Techine to Rivette to Buñuel and she brought something truly magical to every role she played. Despite all of her fabulous work that stretched over five decades I will always picture Marie opposite Jean-Pierre Leaud in Truffaut's
Antoine and Colette...a remarkable short-film that introduced the world to an unforgettable actress.
I am very saddened by this news and wish the best to Pisier's family and friends.
